Stronger Than the 1980s Edition

Mercedes-Benz has unveiled a new limited-edition G-Class, the “Stronger Than the 1980s” edition, which pays homage to the original G-wagens of the 1980s. Built on the 2025 G550 platform, only 460 models will be made, reflecting the original W460 chassis. This edition features nostalgic design elements including throwback colors, amber turn signals, and classic trim variations, capturing the spirit of the early G-Class while integrating modern technology and comfort.

This special edition includes three color options: Agave Green, cream, and sandy beige, reminiscent of the past. Additionally, unique design features such as "G–Stronger Than Time" puddle lights emphasize its limited-series nature. Unlike many modern variants that overemphasize luxury, this edition returns to the G-Class's practical roots, making it unique for off-road enthusiasts.

The Graz factory’s traditional assembly process allows for extensive customization, paying tribute to the rugged, utilitarian character of the iconic G-Class. As the automotive world continues to evolve, this edition honorably reflects its rich history while remaining a modern icon. Collectors and enthusiasts alike are expected to appreciate the G-Class's blend of nostalgia and contemporary performance.
